Our Terms & Conditions

Cosmic Cleaning Services – Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

We want to keep things simple and straightforward. These Terms & Conditions explain how our services work, what we need from customers, and a few important points regarding access, payments and existing property conditions.

By booking a service with Cosmic Cleaning Services, accepting a quotation, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

We provide window cleaning, soffit & fascia cleaning, gutter cleaning, gutter repairs and gutter inspections.

Prices are based on the quotation, call-out fee or agreed price provided at the time of booking.

Our quotations are based on the information available to us when the price is provided. If the job turns out to be significantly different from what was originally described, or additional work, equipment or access is required, we may need to revise the price.

If this happens, we will discuss any additional cost with you before carrying out additional work wherever reasonably possible.

We reserve the right to stop or refuse work if we believe the conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

2. Access & Safety

Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the areas we need to work on.

Where required, access to a suitable water or electricity supply should be provided.

Please keep children and pets away from areas where we are working, as our equipment may include ladders, hoses, poles, cables and electrical equipment.

We may need to postpone or cancel a job if we cannot safely access the property, the weather makes the work unsafe, required utilities are unavailable, or other safety concerns arise.

Where access requires us to use existing doors, gates, windows, access systems, controls, switches, mechanisms or other equipment belonging to the property, these should be reasonably accessible and capable of normal operation.

3. Weather

Window cleaning can normally be carried out during light rain or intermittent showers.

Gutter work may need to be postponed during heavy rain, high winds, storms, icy conditions or other weather that could make working at height or using electrical equipment unsafe.

If we need to postpone a job because of weather, we will arrange another suitable date wherever possible.

4. Window Cleaning

Window cleaning is charged at the agreed job price.

Unless otherwise agreed, our standard window cleaning service includes external glass, frames and sills.

Internal windows, conservatory roofs, skylights and other specialist glass cleaning are not included unless specifically agreed.

Customers should ensure windows are accessible and that gates are unlocked where necessary.

Please also remove items or obstructions that may prevent us from safely accessing the windows.

5. Gutter Cleaning

Gutter cleaning is charged at the agreed job price.

A minimum call-out fee of £25 may apply for inspections or minor blockages. If a full gutter clean is carried out during the same visit, this fee may be deducted from the final price.

Some gutter cleaning work requires access to an electricity supply.

6. Gutter Repairs

Gutter repairs are charged using the agreed call-out fee plus the cost of any parts or materials required.

Where possible, we will discuss any additional parts or costs with you before carrying out the repair.

7. Gutter Inspections

Gutter inspections are charged at the agreed call-out fee unless otherwise stated.

Our inspections are visual assessments only and are not structural surveys or certified reports unless specifically agreed.

8. Payment

Payment is due on the day the work is completed unless a different payment period has been agreed with us in advance.

We accept:

  • Card

  • Cash

  • BACS / Bank Transfer

For commercial customers, agreed payment terms shown on a quotation or service agreement will apply.

We reserve the right to suspend future work where outstanding invoices remain unpaid.

Reasonable recovery or administration costs may be charged where appropriate for overdue payments.

9. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We understand that plans can change.

Customers can cancel or rearrange an appointment without charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the agreed job price to cover lost time and scheduling costs.

Where less than 12 hours' notice is given, or where we arrive and cannot carry out the work because there is no access, we are turned away, the work area is inaccessible, or previously agreed utilities are unavailable, a charge of up to 50% of the agreed job price may apply.

Any cancellation or missed appointment charge will be reasonable and will not exceed the loss reasonably incurred as a result of the cancelled or missed appointment.

Different cancellation arrangements may apply to commercial customers where these have been agreed in writing.

10. Customer Responsibilities

Customers should let us know about any known problems, defects, damage or hazards before we start work.

This includes anything that may affect access to the property or the areas we are working on.

Customers should also tell us about any known issues with doors, windows, gates, access systems, controls, switches, sensors, electrical equipment or other property equipment that we may reasonably need to use during the job.

If something is known to be faulty, unreliable, damaged or difficult to operate, please let us know before we use it.

Customers are responsible for keeping pets and animals safely secured while we are working.

Vehicles, outdoor furniture and valuable or fragile items should be moved away from the immediate working area where appropriate.

Where we have asked for items to be moved before work starts, we cannot accept responsibility for damage to items that remain in the working area, except where we are legally responsible.

11. Existing Property, Equipment & Access Systems

We sometimes need to use existing doors, gates, windows, access systems, controls, switches, mechanisms or other equipment belonging to the property in order to carry out our work.

We will always take reasonable care when doing so.

However, existing property and equipment can have underlying faults, wear, deterioration or weaknesses that may not be visible or known to us.

We cannot be responsible for a failure, malfunction or deterioration of existing property equipment where this results from a pre-existing fault, normal wear and tear, deterioration, weakness, incorrect adjustment, mechanical or electrical failure, or another issue outside our reasonable control.

Using an existing item as part of carrying out a cleaning service does not mean that we have inspected, tested, serviced, repaired or guaranteed that item or its future operation.

If we notice that something appears to be faulty or is not operating normally, we will avoid unnecessary further use where doing so could reasonably cause damage or create a safety risk.

12. Damage & Liability

We take care when carrying out our work and will always aim to complete services to a good standard.

We cannot accept responsibility for problems caused by pre-existing damage, deterioration, defective materials, failed seals, loose or poorly fitted guttering, structural defects, weakened materials, failed window units, hidden damage or normal wear and tear, except where we are legally responsible.

If you believe something has been damaged as a result of our work, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can inspect the issue and discuss it with you.

We will be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, put right any genuine issue relating directly to the service we have provided.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any legal rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  • Commercial Customers

For customers booking services in the course of a business, trade or profession, Cosmic Cleaning Services will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of goodwill, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, our total liability in relation to a particular service will not exceed the amount paid or payable for that specific service, except where such a limitation is not permitted by law.

This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  • Domestic Customers

For customers booking services for personal or household purposes, nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any rights or protections provided by applicable consumer law.

13. Complaints

We want our customers to be happy with the service we provide.

If you have any concerns about the work, please contact us as soon as possible and, where reasonably possible, within 48 hours of the service.

We will listen to your concerns and, where appropriate, arrange to inspect the work and resolve any genuine issues.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights available to domestic customers.

14. Insurance

Cosmic Cleaning Services maintains appropriate public liability insurance for the services we provide.

Details of our insurance can be provided upon reasonable request.

15. Privacy

We use customer information for purposes such as providing quotations, arranging appointments, invoicing and communicating about our services.

Customer information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

Further information may be provided in our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may occasionally update these Terms & Conditions.

Any changes published on our website will apply to future bookings.

Where a quotation or service has already been accepted, the Terms & Conditions that applied when the booking was made will normally continue to apply to that booking unless otherwise agreed.

17. Quotations & Acceptance

Our quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation, or for 30 days where no period is specified.

A quotation may be accepted verbally, in writing, by email, messaging service, online booking, or by otherwise instructing Cosmic Cleaning Services to proceed with the work.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, acceptance of a quotation or booking of our services confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Where a commercial customer has agreed separate written terms with Cosmic Cleaning Services, those agreed terms will apply where they specifically differ from these Terms & Conditions.

18. Domestic & Commercial Customers

These Terms & Conditions apply to both domestic and commercial customers.

For domestic customers, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory legal rights or protections applicable to consumers.

For commercial customers, these Terms & Conditions apply together with any specific terms agreed in writing as part of the quotation or service agreement.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and courts of England and Wales.
