Cosmic Cleaning Services – Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026

1. General Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Cosmic Cleaning Services, including window cleaning, soffit & fascia cleaning, gutter cleaning, gutter repairs, and gutter inspections. By booking a service via telephone, email, messaging app, social media, website enquiry, or by accepting a quotation verbally or in writing, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

All work carried out by Cosmic Cleaning Services is based on a fixed quotation, call-out fee, or agreed job price. All cleaning equipment, tools, and materials remain the property of Cosmic Cleaning Services unless otherwise stated.

Quotations are based on the information provided by the customer. Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to amend a quotation where the scope of work changes, access restrictions are identified, additional labour or equipment is required, or the condition of the property differs from that originally described, provided that any revised costs are communicated to and accepted by the customer before additional work is carried out.

Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to refuse or stop work where conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable.

2. Access & Safety

The customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the property during the agreed service time.

Where required, the customer agrees to provide access to a suitable electricity supply and/or water supply for the duration of the work. The cost of any water or electricity used during the service shall be borne by the customer.

As ladders, hoses, poles, electrical equipment, and cables may be used during services, customers are responsible for ensuring that children and pets are kept safely away from the working area.

Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to postpone or cancel work if access cannot be gained, working conditions are unsafe, weather conditions present a health and safety risk, or necessary utilities are unavailable.

 

3. Weather Conditions

Window cleaning may still be carried out during light rain or intermittent showers, as this does not affect the quality of the clean.

Gutter-related services may be postponed during rain, high winds, storms, icy conditions, or other unsafe weather conditions where the use of ladders or electrical equipment may present a health and safety risk.

 

4. Window Cleaning Services

Window cleaning services are charged based on an agreed job price.

The quoted price covers labour and the use of cleaning equipment only.

Unless otherwise agreed, quotations include external glass cleaning, frames, and sills only.

Internal window cleaning, conservatory roofs, skylights, and other specialist glass cleaning services require a separate quotation unless explicitly included within the agreed service.

Customers should ensure windows are accessible, gates are unlocked where necessary, and obstructions are removed prior to arrival.

 

5. Gutter Cleaning Services

Gutter cleaning services are charged based on an agreed job price.

A minimum call-out fee of £25 may apply for inspections or minor blockages. Where a full gutter clean is completed during the same visit, the call-out fee may be deducted from the final invoice.

The customer understands that access to an electrical power supply may be required during gutter cleaning work.

 

6. Gutter Repairs

Gutter repair services are charged as a call-out fee plus the cost of any required parts and materials.

Any additional parts required will be discussed with the customer before installation wherever reasonably possible.

 

7. Gutter Inspections

Gutter inspections are charged at a fixed call-out fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Inspection services are visual assessments only and do not constitute structural surveys or certified reports unless explicitly stated.

 

8. Payments

Invoices may be issued by email, messaging app, or post.

Payment is due on the day of service completion unless a 7-day payment period has been agreed in advance by Cosmic Cleaning Services.

Payments accepted: Card, Cash, and BACS / Bank Transfer.

Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to charge reasonable recovery and administration costs directly associated with overdue payments and/or suspend future services where invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed payment due date.

 

9. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Customers may cancel or reschedule an appointment free of charge by providing at least 24 hours’ notice before the agreed appointment time.

Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the accepted quotation to cover lost time, scheduling disruption, and associated business costs.

A charge of up to 50% of the accepted quotation may apply where Cosmic Cleaning Services is unable to carry out the agreed service due to cancellation with less than 12 hours’ notice, no access to the property, being turned away upon arrival, inaccessible work areas, or failure to provide required utilities where previously agreed.

Any cancellation or missed appointment charges will not exceed the reasonable financial loss incurred by Cosmic Cleaning Services as a result of the cancellation or failed appointment.

 

10. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for informing Cosmic Cleaning Services of any known defects or hazards before work begins.

Customers are also responsible for ensuring pets and animals are safely secured during the provision of services, whether kept indoors or in external shelters, pens, runs, or other outdoor areas.

The customer must ensure any vehicles, outdoor furniture, or valuable items are moved away from the work area where appropriate.

Cosmic Cleaning Services shall not be held liable for damage to items left within the immediate work area where the customer has been requested to move them prior to the commencement of work.

 

11. Liability

Cosmic Cleaning Services will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill.

However, Cosmic Cleaning Services shall not be held responsible for pre-existing damage, deteriorated seals, loose or poorly fitted guttering, cracked or weakened materials, structural defects, failed window units, hidden damage, or issues arising from normal wear and tear.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable United Kingdom law.

 

12. Complaints & Satisfaction

Any concerns regarding completed work should be reported within 48 hours of service completion where reasonably possible.

Cosmic Cleaning Services will be given the opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify any legitimate issues relating directly to the service provided.

 

13. Insurance

Cosmic Cleaning Services maintains appropriate public liability insurance for the services provided.

Insurance details may be provided upon reasonable request.

 

14. Privacy

Customer information will only be used for quotations, scheduling, invoicing, and service-related communication.

Cosmic Cleaning Services will handle customer data in accordance with applicable United Kingdom data protection laws.

Where applicable, further information regarding data handling, customer rights, and data retention may be provided within the company Privacy Policy.

 

15. Changes to Terms & Conditions

Cosmic Cleaning Services reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Any updated Terms & Conditions published on the company website shall apply to future bookings only.

 

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

By booking services with Cosmic Cleaning Services, the customer agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
